The City of Vernier entrusted us with redesigning its website.

The agenda included: content audit and reorganization, visual redesign, implementation of Drupal, and an advanced search engine.

There are numerous activities happening in Vernier. The website should showcase them effectively, allow users to subscribe to newsletters, and easily browse events based on their interests.

It's crucial that each page is well-indexed and clearly addresses specific issues so that users searching for keywords via search engines land on the intended page.

Moreover, finding information directly on the site should be easy, facilitated by clear organization, well-structured entry pages, and a robust search engine.

A municipality's website is frequently consulted for information on administrative procedures, such as notifying an arrival or departure, registering a child for daycare, applying for a grant, renting a room, etc. The website should inform the public on how to complete these procedures: either online, through a form, or by visiting in person.

Every citizen should be able to stay informed about the political life of their municipality: what communications are issued by the Administrative Council, where official documents can be found, and when municipal council sessions take place.

The website aims to allow businesses and associations in the City to register in order to be listed, gain visibility, and provide links to them.

To meet the various objectives of the website, we have reorganized the content as follows:

First-level navigation is complemented by a search field.

It's important to emphasize that for a mandate like this, it's the clients who have the expertise in content. After all, who knows the City and its intricacies better than them? We are here to advise them (especially in terms of web writing) and to train them in using the CMS, in this case Drupal. We strive to make the user interface as accessible and enjoyable as possible.

To bring the interface to life and allow the City of Vernier to freely express its editorial needs, we chose to implement free editing using the Paragraph module in Drupal.

Thus, during the project design phase, in collaboration with the city's editors, we identified the necessary components for building the pages.

With a collection of 14 available components, we have exceeded editorial expectations and enabled Vernier to create rich, engaging, and attractive content to showcase and guide users through their navigation.

By offering Paragraph, we enable a high degree of creative freedom in content while maintaining visual and structural coherence of the data. It's the ideal tool for a project of this scope.
