Against Domestic Violence In order to find an original and appropriate way to communicate about its services, a contest for ideas was organized and launched by CPAle. We at Antistatique are very proud to have won this contest.

Objectives

To raise awareness about the services provided by the Centre Prévention de l’Ale (CPAle) and encourage individuals who voluntarily engage in verbal, psychological, and physical violence to seek help from CPAle.

The Concept

Blur and depth of field often indicate discomfort, mental disturbances, and strong emotions. The shift in focus represents a disconnect between the subject and their environment. Thus, we chose to tell three stories, three testimonies of domestic violence, and base our narration on these concepts.
By focusing on one shot at a time, alternating between two stories being told simultaneously—on one hand, the story of the perpetrator of violence, their life, their daily routine, and on the other hand, their group or individual follow-up, and what they have decided to undertake.
The stories told by the perpetrators of violence encourage awareness of the severity of their actions and the potential risks if change is not undertaken—while also showing a glimmer of hope that it is not too late.
