It has already been 6 months since we had the pleasure of welcoming Antoine, who is a developer. So it's the perfect time to get to know him better and share a bit more about him through these few questions!

Antoine, give me 3 words to describe yourself?
Too hard to start with!
What job did you dream of doing as a child?
Math teacher! I liked math, but later I discovered that I had no patience and already struggled to tolerate kids on the bus.
Tell us more about your background
My schooling was quite standard, nothing special to mention. I did a year of OPTI (an organisation for academic improvement, transition, and professional integration) to help choose what I wanted to do. Then I completed a computer science CFC and a degree at Saint-Croix (not very fun, Saint-Croix).
In your opinion, what qualities or skills are essential to be a good developer?
Curiosity and the desire to learn, even if what you made works — you should always look for better options, because there is often something better without you knowing it.
Maybe resilience too: not breaking down when things don’t work!
Something you love doing in life?
I really enjoy simply being at home, watching series, reading manga, playing video games. For example, my perfect Saturday would look like this: I get up, sit in front of the TV, in the afternoon I play games, and in the evening I go to bed.
I like going out, but less than before — I prefer when my friends come over. I’d like to say it’s age, but it’s been like that for 4–5 years already ;)
A memorable trip or a place you dream of visiting?
I dream of going to Japan (hi Marc!) but it requires a budget and a lot of organisation.
I’m not a big traveller; I’ve never left Europe.
Are you more into movies, Netflix series, comics, or books?
Definitely anime! I’ve watched more than 800 and still have 700 left on my list.
Last year, I watched Frieren, which I can definitely recommend!
What’s in your ears when you're working?
I only have 2 playlists. The first one has EVERYTHING I like (mostly metal), and the second one is for work, with 14 songs on repeat (anime openings, video game music, a bit of metal).

Speaking of that, what's your next concert? Or a band you absolutely want to see?
I don’t have any upcoming concerts right now, but I’ve never seen Feed her to the Sharks live and would really love to. Otherwise, Crossfaith is one of my favourite bands — I’ve already seen them at least 8 times.
Final question: are you more into dogs, cats, or even mini pigs?
I love all animals, but I prefer cats. I like big dogs too, but that means going for long walks, whereas with my cat (Nero) I can just stay home.
