Blog & Social Media Content creation Baselworld 2016
Introduction
Baselworld, the World Watch and Jewelry Store, takes place every year in March. For ten days, brands from all over the world display their newest collections and participate in a number of events that put them in the limelight. In 2016, Zenith Watches (LVMH group) entrusted us with the mission of creating photo and video content for their brand’s blog and social media networks.
Mission
Our mission was straightforward: capture every moment of the tradeshow and showcase it on all the brand’s communication platforms. The presence of certain limited-edition pieces brought a whole new dimension to the job. In order to put all the content together, we updated a mini site regularly so that visitors could retrace all the Zenith events throughout the show.
Here are a few examples of the moments we captured:
In addition to the blog, we bolstered the brand’s social media outlets with lifestyle photos and videos on Instagram, and corporate content on Facebook. This international tradeshow gave us the opportunity to showcase how varied our work is. We had to be both flexible and quick to react, since we were working on short deadlines. All our work had to be online by the next day. We had a photographer and two videographers from our agency work full-time during the show. Each morning was spent on postproduction, while afternoons were devoted to capturing images onsite.

Conclusion
Collecting over 500 Go of images required a lot of planning and work ethic. Having a smart archiving system allowed us to save a lot of time, and we made sure we backed up regularly to avoid any losses. Throughougt the mission, we communicated clearly and always respected the work process. The positive synergy we’ve got going in our team enabled us to cover such a large-scale event without any mishaps, and to the utmost satisfaction of our client. This was indeed an experience to remember. Mission accomplished!
